The Exhibition and Experience Design Handbook contains 12 chapters that form a methodology for designing successful and people-centered events and experiences. My talk at the Crocker Art Museum walked the audience of museum docents and volunteers through each chapter. It is gratifying to know that the educators were very inspired and plan to use the methodology to engage visitors in new ways in the gallery spaces – one that focuses more on the overall exhibition experience as well as the individual artworks.
